What we are doing to safeguard the welfare of our drivers and passengers
With the concerns of health and safety rightly at the forefront of everyone’s mind, the wellbeing of our passengers, drivers and employees is Signature Executive and Signature Coaches number one priority.
In line with the Government of Jersey's advice, we have a clear set of guidelines around managing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting our people, passengers and drivers, whilst offering our services.
We understand that people may have concerns about travelling in private hire vehicles or coaches during this time. However, as well as following the advice from the Government, Signature Executive and Signature Coaches has put its own measures in place.
We deep clean each vehicle, inside and out, before and after every use. We also pay great attention to the vehicle's 'touch points', the parts that people tend to touch, such as door handles, switches and of course seat belts as well as other contact surfaces like handrails and posts. This is done using a disinfectant sanitiser. We also provide a range of protective equipment for all our drivers and clients, including protective gloves, hand-sanitiser, anti-bacterial wipes, cleaning cloths and protective masks.
Regards the stowing of luggage, we would kindly ask that all executive customers stow their own luggage were possible, with the aid of the driver who will open and close the boot compartment whilst wearing disposable gloves. For coach customers, your luggage will be stowed by the driver who will be wearing disposable gloves.
All our drivers will be expected to maintain regular hand hygiene with an alcohol-based sanitiser and will wear a protective mask at all times whilst the customer is in the vehicle.
When travelling on our coaches, hand sanitiser will made available as you board the vehicle. The first row of seats, behind the driver, must not be occupied. Tour guide(s) may sit in the first row of seats opposite the driver - not in the jump seat - as long as there is enough physical distance between them and the driver. The seats behind the tour guide must then become unoccupied.
Seating will be allocated to the customer and must not be change for the duration of the journey and we would request that for any larger groups travelling together with a tour guide that a seating plan is made available to us by the guide. Any customers travelling on their own are entitled to a 2-seat bench and we would request that customers who are sharing a double room are seated together. The driver and guide(s) will disembark the coach when the loading and unloading of passengers is taking place and will only return to vehicle once all passengers are seated.
Finally, we would ask all passengers to refrain from consuming food or drink whilst in the vehicle.
